Since opening in 1999, Greenberg Van Doren Gallery has exhibited and
promoted the work of a dynamic group of emerging and established
contemporary artists alongside presentations of work by European and
American Post-War and Contemporary Masters. The gallery is unique in its
diversity and commitment to new and established talent within a program that
includes historic exhibitions of works by American Masters. Solo and group
exhibitions are devoted to artists working in all media: drawing and
painting, photography, sculpture, installation and video.
The gallery is proud to have presented the first one-person exhibitions by a
select group of ambitious young American and European artists who have made
a mark on the international art scene, including Aïda Ruilova, Katy Grannan,
Benjamin Edwards, Cameron Martin, and Malerie Marder. Greenberg Van Doren
Gallery represents these artists, along with Emi Avora, Katherine Bowling,
James Brooks (estate), Suzanne Caporael, Tim Davis, Richard Diebenkorn
(estate) Sharon Ellis, Paul Graham, Eva Lundsager, Elizabeth Magill, Barry
Ratoff, Dorothea Rockburne, Alexis Smith, Lane Twitchell, and Kevin Zucker.
Gallery artists have been included in important and prestigious museum
surveys and international exhibitions, including The Venice Biennale, The
Whitney Biennial, Greater New York at PS1 / MoMA, The Prague Biennale, and
The Berlin Biennale. Additionally, Greenberg Van Doren Gallery regularly
participates in numerous international art fairs including The Armory Show
(New York), ARCO (Madrid), and The Art Show / ADAA Art Fair (New York).
The gallery is a member of The Art Dealers Association of America.
